G-Star es una marca holandesa que incialmente se llamó Gap Star. Su necesidad de internacionalización y la existencia de la marca GAP en Estados Unidos hicieron que la empresa de jeans acortara la marca y se quedara tal y como la conocemos hoy en día.
G-Star Raw se hizo muy popular entre los estudiantes de toda Europa y en los últimos años han conseguido consolidarse a nivel mundial.Para su nueva campaña han elegido a Liv Tyler, actriz para reforzar la imagen de la marca a nivel global.
